Tito is originally from Morelia, Michoacán. He grew up in a family whose cultural practices, particularly within the culinary sphere, would leave a lasting impact. He arrived in Mexico City in 1969, and with his parents and siblings, founded the first El Cardenal restaurant in the Historic Center. Currently, Tito, along with his siblings, Jesús and Marcela, and his nephew David, run the El Cardenal restaurants, which have 53 years of experience behind them and where the effort to preserve the original processes of Mexican cuisine continues.
