Daniela Mijares Martínez

Daniela Mijares Martínez

CANIRAC Executive President

Daniela Mijares knows the restaurant industry like few others, as she has been an advisor for the Mexican Association of Restaurants (AMR) for the last 11 years and an advisor to CANIRAC and DICARES. She was responsible for the Covid Committee within the AMR and had a fundamental role in the creation of the Mesa Segura (Safe Table) protocol, which established the guidelines for the reopening of restaurants in Mexico, and which was adopted by the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Tourism at the national level. She was also one of the organizers of the Abrimos o Morimos (We Open or We Die) movement, through which a dialogue with government authorities resulted in the reactivation of the restaurant sector. Daniela’s experience also includes Advent International, the Jockey Club of CIE, and the University Club in Mexico City. She has collaborated on pieces in the national newspapers El Universal and Reforma, as well as in the culinary guides of food critic Marco Beteta.
