Tamales Doña Ale
One of the nutritional pillars of the inhabitants of Mexico City is the magical combo of tamale + atole or, in its grandest version, guajolota + atole (a tamale in bread). From the time a child starts school, they attend class with a tamalito in their belly, and for growing teenagers, they are filled with a guajolota and atole. For more than 40 years, Doña Ale's tamales have been satisfying the early morning hunger of her customers, who line up at dawn in order to start the day off right.
