In what was once a chili pepper warehouse in La Merced, Chef Rómulo Mendoza prepares traditional Mexican dishes with modern touches without losing their essence. To whet your appetite, there is a small bar with homemade wines and mezcals, which are brought to the table in jícaras or cups made from the body of poblano chiles. In honor of its past, the main dish is a chile relleno in a variety of preparations. In tribute to and with love for the surrounding space, most of the dishes are made with ingredients from La Merced, while the seafood arrives fresh from Veracruz.
