Mercaderes

This traditional restaurant and wine shop is located in one of the oldest buildings in the Historic Center, which during colonial times was an important point of commerce, known as the Portal de los Mercaderes (Merchant’s Gate). Since its opening in 1998, Mercaderes has prided itself on being the first Mexican haute cuisine restaurant in the city, with a wine selection that is 60% Mexican grapes. It is certified as one of the Treasures of Mexico from the Ministry of Tourism, a worthy representation of Mexico's history and culture.
