El Pialadero de Guadalajara
Few places in Mexico City provide the experience of Jalisco cuisine that El Pialadero de Guadalajara does. Established in 1998, this restaurant offers the most traditional antojitos from the Pearl of the West, from rich birria, lonches and carne en su jugo to some of the best tortas ahogadas in the city (using birote - bread from Jalisco - drowned in a delicious sauce). With fresh ingredients brought in from Jalisco, El Pialadero, as it is affectionately known, offers a very real Jalisco experience, the great seasoning of the state, even down to the furniture.
