Doña Vero
Doña Vero is more than a restaurant, it is the story of an enterprising woman and traditional cook who started her business on the street with a borrowed frying pan and has managed to turn that venture into an important contribution among the many options for Mexican cuisine. Doña Vero has won the contest for most exotic quesadilla in Mexico City six times by offering meats such as ostrich, wild boar, turkey chilorio and “drunk” deer. She is also the creator of heart-shaped tortillas, which she makes with red corn dough enriched with beets and amaranth, and which are the most representative of her dishes.
