Café de Tacuba
The tables of this café have been occupied by presidents, intellectuals, politicians and singers who came for a morning coffee or the enchiladas for lunch. Established in 1912, this is one of the most classic restaurants in the historic center of Mexico City. It is located in a 17th century mansion on Calle Tacuba that at one point was a creamery. The decor includes murals depicting Mexican gastronomy and portraits of historical figures. The famous composer and bolero singer Agustín Lara was a regular figure here.
